What’s the importance of planning? What are the objectives of planning?

Success is the main goal of planning. No one plans to fail, unless he’s stupid enough!

Right now, I’m planning a lesson… this is what we call, “Lesson Planning.” What for? Well..? I’m planning now to get started planning before I run out of ideas!
