The Itinerants Path

Walang maisulat kaya ito, kunting tyaga sa pagbabasa. Bakasyon na! Nagkataon lamang na ang summer break ay tinatawag na vacation from school related activities. Not for all. Some of my students will definitely be taking up summer subjects to learn more and cope with what they have missed during the regular school days. Kasi nagkaroon ng F. Which I can conclude that they failed due to laziness in studying or due to some studies-related problems… Like what? Family problem? Behavior? Well, that includes study habits… Arg! Tama man o mali, di na ako manghuhusga pa. That’s still related to laziness to study and exert more effort in learning. The students call us teachers but I don’t think all the burden inside the classroom is with the teacher alone. There must be cooperative learning. Kaya right after the high school graduation, I was given chance to be away even for a night and stayed with the Brothers in Davao. Luckily, I met Fr. Lauro, a Marist priest. He brought me to People’s park together with his sister and had our dinner. Of course, kasama na d’un ang kunting “spiritual direction?” Kasi naman po, may masamang nangyari sa classroom na dapat lang magpahinga ako, di naman tumatakas pero nagpapalamig lang… Sino ba namang class adviser ang di magagalit when after the final exam, hinayaang nagkagulo-gulo ang pagkakasalansan ng mga upuan, basag ang salamin ng teacher’s table at binutasan ang chalkboard? The question, have they learned a good values from one year of schooling? Wala nga siguro. Nagawa nilang sirain ang mga upuan at kung ano-ano pa ang pinagsusulat sa chalkboard laban sa iba…
