Songs of the Mission

Dec 8th, 2008 by brVince | 3

As the song goes…

“We come to share our story; we come to break the bread…”

Last Sunday, December 7, the Marist Brothers and visitors gathered together to ask God for blessings for the Missionaries of the Ad Gentes as they go their new mission in Asia. Believing that God calls each one to a new world of mission, the Superior General, Brother Sean Sammon challenges each one to be strong and courageous enough to undertake God’s work.

“Be not afraid; I go before you always. Come follow me; and I will give you rest…”

Br. Emmanuel Achema is asked to be in Bangladesh while Brothers Doroteo and Gilber Barillas are to be in Thailand. Brother Juan Castro is commissioned as Vocation Promoter for the Mission Ad Gentes Sector while Brother Cesar Barba to Mexico.

Here are the captured moments…

Br. Sean Sammon, FMS the Superior General and Br. Michael Dewass, FMS the Ad Gentes Sector Coordinator

The commissioned Brothers being challenged by the Superior General.

On this day..
