NDKC Culminates its Golden Jubilee Celebration

At last, Notre Dame of Kidapawan College culminates its Golden Jubilee that started last June 2007. The whole day affair was started with institutional parade around Kidapawan City. The students from primary, high school IBED and College students and teachers and administrators joined during the parade with different floats and banners displayed. An Eucharistic Mass was celebrated at the covered court of College department, presided by Bishop Romulo dela Cruz, DD, with his co-bishop presiders.

A short program followed after. The East-Asia Brother Provincial, Br. Manuel de Leon, FMS just came from Singapore to give a talk during the said program. Br. Briccio Baynosa, FMS, the Assistant to the President of Notre Dame of Marbel University was present for another speech. Another distinguished visitor was Governor Jesus Sacdalan of Cotabato Province gave his admiration to NDKC.

Face to face exhibition game

After the sumptuous lunch, the Jubilee culmination continued with the exhibition presentation of the Drum and Lire Corps of High School department which was followed by Basketball game between the faculty of Notre Dame of Midsayap College, the first Notre Dame school here in Asia, headed by Fr. Romy Saniel, OMI, the school president of NDMC. NDKC faculty won the game. This was to bless the newly rubberized basketball court of the school. The rubberised painting was made possible through the initiative of Fr. Romy’s group. Another game was between the combined varsity players of NDKC and NDMC and Ateneo de Davao University. It was indeed a terrific game. AdDU won by half-shot, 80-81 in favor of Ateneo de Davao University. Di nasayang ang 10-peso ng mga nanuod during the game! Masaya ang buong araw sa NDKC!
