Wisdom People

Wisdom is the teaching that accompanied some of the people of the Old Testament. From kings to ordinary learned people of Israel. This represents the people who lived among the influences not merely of the Greek culture but from their experiences since the time of old of their ancestors who faithfully lived Yahweh’s plan and the covenant . Righteousness is accompanied by wisdom that says, fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, thus being righteous in the way of life is following God’s will. Today, faithfulness and sense of being human to others are needed to live the wisdom of God. These are just some of the qualities that people of old lived that attracted even the people of today. Though they experienced exiles and destruction, many of time were able to abide and reflect on God’s faithfulness to the people.

In todays situation and experiences of the people. Chaotic and confused state are always felt, not only here in the Philippines but also abroad. The Philippine economics declines too fast and deteriorating. Global economic affects everything and Philippines can’t escape from the tyranny of big countries and from the greed of multi-national companies that never see the human need for compassion. The wisdom is never regained and oppression become so dominating. This is just about the top level topic and not yet seen the lowest strata of the society. Many poor people resort into small-time business like snatching, kidnapping, stealing just to survive. Is there any wisdom on these? Survival need made them to do that for no more opportunities for them to be given worthy job. Prostitution and gambling are another form of deteriorating essence of human. Drug trafficking and illegal smuggling of goods. These are the dominant traits I have seen that seems to be discouraging and giving despair to the people. Thus wisdom of old is somehow forgotten. Yet, in spite of these, there are also people who work globally and locally to compensate the needs of time. Philanthropist and generous people like the Gates somehow, help many from their own company’s resources. There are financial foundations and establishment who work with NGOs and government to extend the help to poor nations and localities. Still there is the response to the call of the present time.
