Draw it, Kid!

I was just with the kids this morning and we had to review what we learned last Saturday. I asked them what gifts they want to receive this coming Christmas. I sensed their excitement and saw their big smiles for me. One of them draw a lot of different gifts she wants and asked me if she would be given even one. I said, “Yes” and again, touched my feelings.

Last year, I was assigned in Payatas dump-site to be with kids also. Same question was asked, if they will have a good Christmas. The scenario reminded me of one Christmas songs I heard one early morning few days ago. It seems to be a sad Christmas again. I was not with my family last Christmas and yet I was able to remember them even I’m too far away.

This kid really reminds me of being a kid also, I also wanted to draw the things I want this coming Christmas, though still few months to go, I’m now drawing the things i wanted to receive… a love this Christmas for others, too.
