I, too, love this poem. The line about dad lifting the child up high reminds me of the one memory of my father lifting me high above his head, then cradling me to his shoulder. I was 2yo at the time, an age most children would not remember; but, it was a memory that sustained me all the years of growing up without him.

this is exactly how my family is . i cry every time i hear this song .i am 10 and i have been 2 9 different songs because of my mom and dad splitting . there were 2 gether then apart then 2 geter it never stops . now i live a in the north and my dad lives in the south. but my mom and dad still talks but i cry and cry . this song is so touching . it touches my in every way. :{

pop, i miss you so much ever since january 9th 2007. pop you ment the world and did you have to keep smoking? every night i cry myself to sleep even though you could not tell you ment the world to me and every night i write you and keep it under my pillow and it kills me to know that this is not a dream and every morning i wake up crying reaptingly. you were the best hope to see some day. i can not wait to see you and mommom your sweetheart. sometimes i wonder did you keep smoking since you missed her or you wanted to be with her? well pop i guess i will see you whaen it is my time dont run away.
